Thank you for taking a few minutes to learn about my campaign for Superior Court Judge and to see all the support I have been receiving!

I am running to become a Skagit County Superior Court Judge because I believe we need experienced judges  who are not only leaders in our community, but innovators willing to use new ideas to solve the many complex challenges within our legal system.  Our Superior Court touches the lives of so many in our community.  Each person who comes before the Court has a circumstance that is unique; they or a loved one may be facing criminal charges, engaged in a complex civil dispute, undergoing heart wrenching family law and child custody disputes, juvenile matters, child dependency issues, or even be a victim of crime. And increasingly, substance use disorders and mental health challenges have become  constant factors we must deal with.

For more than four years, I have served as a Superior Court Commissioner here in Skagit County, and I will bring that valuable judicial experience to my role as an elected judge.  In the courtroom, I strive to listen carefully and respectfully to each litigant and hear their unique personal story. I believe that we, as judges, have the obligation to not only hold people accountable but also provide pathways to hope.

My years of judicial experience and my deep roots in Skagit County have given me confidence that I will be the kind of judge you can be proud of.
